Description: I started this book by questioning the reasons for the poor health amongst the Indigenous babies and children I saw in remote community clinics. This led to the identification of the barriers to the level of analysis that is typically used in clinical science in the investigation of causal pathways of complex disease, and on a parallel track to understand the history and culture of the people of the Kimberley and to use the opportunity to discuss these topics with my Aboriginal colleagues and friends.
